Bulk Author Changer reassigns the author on many posts at once, across any post type. It exists because doing this by hand on a site with hundreds of posts is a day’s work, and because author attribution is what E-E-A-T is built on.

Find it at RankReady, AI Content, Author Box, below the author settings.

Preview before you execute

The tool shows the affected count before it changes anything. Use it. A bulk author change is not undoable from inside the plugin, and the preview is the only place to catch a filter that matched more than you meant.

The filters

  • Post types: which content is in scope. Posts and Pages in the free build; custom post types with Pro.
  • Current Author (From): leave it on All authors to reassign regardless of who wrote it.
  • New Author (To): required.
  • Date Range: optional, with After and Before dates. Leave both empty to include all dates.

The order that avoids surprises

  1. Set the filters.
  2. Press Preview Count and read the number.
  3. If the number is larger than you expected, narrow the filters and preview again.
  4. Only then press Execute.

Messages and edge cases

Messages appear inline on the card. They no longer open as browser pop-ups. If From and To are the same author, the preview shows 0 posts, because nothing would change. Since 1.4.1 the From author filter is applied correctly when you pick one author.

What it changes

The WordPress post author field, and nothing else. Author Box output follows from that field, so the box updates on its own. Existing summaries, FAQs and schema are untouched.
