The deal between us.

01 The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Etica Studio, the company that operates Host My Blog (registered address: 1310 Shilp Zaveri, Shyamal Cross Road, Vejalpur, beside Iconic Shyamal Building, Satellite, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015, India). They govern your use of Host My Blog’s hosting and care services. By signing up or using the service, you agree to them. If you’re agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you’re authorised to do so.

02 What we provide

We provide managed WordPress hosting and ongoing care, including the specific items described on your plan, such as hosting, backups, updates, security, performance and support. We’ll provide the service with reasonable skill and care, and we aim for high availability, but we don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

03 Your responsibilities

To keep things running smoothly, you agree to:

• Give us accurate information and keep your account details current.
• Own or have the rights to the content and software on your blog.
• Not use the service for anything illegal, abusive, or that harms our infrastructure or other customers.
• Keep your own login credentials secure.

You remain the owner of your content and your site. We just look after it.

04 Plans & billing

Plans are billed in advance, annually unless stated otherwise on your plan. There are no setup fees and no exit fees, and you are never tied into a renewal. Because plans are paid a year in advance, stopping takes effect at your renewal date rather than mid-term, and the refund policy sets out the one window where that differs. Prices may change, but we’ll always tell you before a change affects you, and never mid-term on an existing prepaid period.

05 Cancellation

You can cancel any time, with no penalty and no exit fee. Your service continues until the end of your current paid period. Refunds, where they apply, are covered by our Refund Policy.

06 Acceptable use

We host blogs, not abuse. You may not use the service to distribute malware, send spam, host illegal content, or do anything that endangers the security or performance of our platform. If something on your site is compromised, we’ll work with you to fix it, but we reserve the right to suspend a site that poses an active risk to others, with notice wherever possible.

07 Liability

We take a lot of care, but to the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited.

08 Your data & backups

We keep daily backups as part of our care, and we take data protection seriously, see our Privacy Policy. We strongly recommend you also keep your own copy of anything irreplaceable. Backups are a safety net, not a guarantee against every possible loss.

09 Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute about them will be handled by the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Nothing here takes away any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in, where that law gives you stronger protection. Questions about this before you sign up? 10 Software licences

Separately from the Host My Blog care plan, we sell licences for software products, currently RankReady.

What a licence gives you. A licence lets you install and use the paid version of the software on the number of sites stated in your plan, for as long as the licence is active. Licences are per site, not per domain alias or staging copy of the same site.

What it does not restrict. Our software is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. The GPL grants you rights to use, modify and redistribute the code, and nothing in these terms removes them. What your licence buys is ongoing access to updates, new versions and support, not permission to run the code.

Updates and support. While your licence is active you receive plugin updates and support at the address below. When a licence expires the software keeps working. You stop receiving updates and support.

Free version. The free version of RankReady is distributed through WordPress.org under the same GPL licence and carries no purchase, no licence key and no expiry.

Payments. Purchases are processed by Freemius. Your order, invoice, renewal and refund are handled through their checkout and customer portal.

Acceptable use. We may suspend a licence used to resell or redistribute update access, or to abuse credits or API allowances. We will contact you before doing so.

11 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we do, we’ll update the date above and notify you of anything significant. Continuing to use the service means you accept the revised terms.
