How to activate your RankReady Pro licence
Entering your licence key, what activation actually unlocks, and how to move a licence between sites.

Your licence key arrives by email after purchase. Activation is what turns the Pro code on: until the licence validates, Pro deliberately stays locked.
Activating
- Install and activate RankReady Pro. How to install it.
- WordPress shows an activation prompt for the add-on. If you dismissed it, find the RankReady Pro entry on the Plugins screen and use its activation link.
- Paste your licence key and submit. It is in your purchase email and in your account. Find your licence key.
Activation is per site. A $49 licence covers one install; a $99 licence covers up to 100.
Confirming it worked
The reliable check is behavioural rather than visual: open a RankReady screen that previously showed a Pro marker, such as an auto-generation toggle or a bulk card, and confirm the real control is now there and usable.
Why Pro fails closed
If the licence check cannot complete, for any reason at all, Pro stays locked rather than unlocking. No licence, no connection, a configuration problem or an unexpected error all produce the same result: locked. This is deliberate. An unconfigured or unlicensed install must never behave like a paid one.
The practical consequence: if Pro features are missing, treat it as a licence problem first, not a bug.
Staging, development and local sites
Each activation consumes a seat on your licence. Deactivate the licence on a site before deleting it, or before rebuilding a staging environment, so the seat returns to you.
Moving a licence to another site
- On the old site, deactivate the licence from the RankReady Pro account screen.
- On the new site, install Pro and activate with the same key.
Deleting a site without deactivating first leaves the seat consumed. If that happens, sign in to your account to manage the licence. If the seat is still stuck, email rankready@hostmy.blog from the purchase address.
