We’re a small team and we treat your data the way we’d want ours treated: collect little, guard it well, never sell it. Here’s exactly what we gather and why.
01 Who we are
Host My Blog (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides managed WordPress hosting and care for businesses, bloggers and agencies. Host My Blog is operated by Etica Studio, and Etica Studio is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Registered address: 1310 Shilp Zaveri, Shyamal Cross Road, Vejalpur, beside Iconic Shyamal Building, Satellite, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015, India. When this policy talks about “you”, it means anyone who visits our site, contacts us, or uses our services.

02 What we collect
We collect only what we need to provide and improve our service:
- Contact details you give us, your name, email, blog URL and any message you send through our forms.
- Account & billing information needed to set up and bill your plan. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data about your blog necessary to host and care for it, for example server logs, performance metrics and security events.
- Site analytics from Google Analytics, covering which pages you visit and how you arrived, so we can understand what’s useful and fix what isn’t.
03 How we use it
We use your information to:
- Set up, host, secure and maintain your blog.
- Reply to your messages and provide support.
- Send your monthly Care Report and essential service notices.
- Send our newsletter, only if you opted in, and you can leave any time.
- Improve our service and keep it secure.
We never use your data for anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect, and we don’t make automated decisions that affect you.
06 How we protect it
Security is literally our product, so we apply the same care to your data that we apply to your blog: encryption in transit, hardened infrastructure, least-privilege access and daily backups. No system is perfectly immune, but if a breach ever affected your data, we’d tell you promptly and honestly.
07 How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you’re a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and operational needs. When it’s no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
08 Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to stop sending you marketing email. Just email support@hostmy.blog, we’ll action it, no hoops. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or your local data-protection regulation.
09 Freemius
We use Freemius to sell licences for our software products (currently RankReady) and to understand how they are used.
When you buy. Freemius processes the payment and stores your name, email, billing address and payment details. We never see or store your card details. Freemius: Terms · Privacy
When you install the free plugin. The plugin asks whether you want to share usage data. This is optional and you can skip it. Diagnostic sharing is off by default. If you opt in, Freemius receives your site URL, WordPress and PHP versions, active theme and plugins, and which features you use. If you skip it, none of that is sent.
Opting out later. The plugin’s settings, or the Freemius account screen inside your WordPress admin.
Deletion. Email support@hostmy.blog and we will delete what we hold and ask Freemius to do the same.
10 Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top and, for anything significant, let you know by email. Continuing to use our service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
