# Refund Policy

We’d rather you stayed because the service is genuinely worth it, not because you’re trapped. Here’s exactly how refunds work.

## 14-day peace-of-mind guarantee

Not happy in your first **14 days** with us? Email us and we’ll refund what you paid, in full, no interrogation, no “retention offer” gauntlet. We’d genuinely rather part as friends than keep someone who isn’t getting value.

## After the first 14 days

Because plans are billed yearly and we do real work across the whole term, we don’t offer automatic pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a year after the guarantee window. You’re welcome to cancel any time, your care simply continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for. That said, we’re reasonable humans: if something has genuinely gone wrong, talk to us.

## If you joined before August 16, 2026

The section above applies to sign-ups from **August 16, 2026** onwards. If you were already a customer before that date, nothing changes for you. You keep the pro-rata arrangement you were given in writing when you joined: what you paid towards annual hosting is worked out pro-rata and set against your final bill, so you do not lose money you have already invested with us.

Not sure which one applies to you? Just ask. Email [support@hostmy.blog](mailto:support@hostmy.blog) and we will tell you plainly which terms are on your account. If it is ever ambiguous, we will read it in your favour.

## One-time solutions

For one-time work, audits, performance fixes, security hardening and the like, we scope and agree the work with you before we start. Once that work has been delivered, it isn’t refundable, because the time and expertise have already been spent. If we haven’t started yet, you can cancel for a full refund.

## How to request a refund

There’s no form to wrestle with. Email [support@hostmy.blog](mailto:support@hostmy.blog) from the address on your account and tell us you’d like a refund. We’ll confirm within one business day and process eligible refunds promptly.

## Timing & method

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it typically takes **5–10 business days** for the money to appear after we process it, that part is on their side, not ours.

## Fair-use exceptions

The guarantee is meant for genuine “this isn’t for me” situations, not repeated sign-up-and-refund cycles or abuse of the service. We reserve the right to decline a refund where there’s clear misuse, but in practice, if you’re acting in good faith, so will we.
