01 Who we are

HostMyBlog (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides managed WordPress hosting and care for businesses, bloggers and agencies. We’re led by Raj, Bijal and Aditya. When this policy talks about “you”, it means anyone who visits our site, contacts us, or uses our services.

02 What we collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve our service:

• Contact details you give us, your name, email, blog URL and any message you send through our forms.
• Account & billing information needed to set up and bill your plan. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
• Technical data about your blog necessary to host and care for it, for example server logs, performance metrics and security events.
• Site analytics, basic, privacy-respecting usage data so we can understand what’s useful and fix what isn’t.

03 How we use it

We use your information to:

• Set up, host, secure and maintain your blog.
• Reply to your messages and provide support.
• Send your monthly Care Report and essential service notices.
• Send our newsletter, only if you opted in, and you can leave any time.
• Improve our service and keep it secure.

We never use your data for anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect, and we don’t make automated decisions that affect you.

04 Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We share it only with the trusted providers required to run the service, such as our hosting infrastructure, payment processor and email tools, and only to the extent they need it to do their job. Each is bound to protect your data. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.

05 Cookies & analytics

Our marketing site uses a minimal set of cookies, the ones needed to make the site work and to measure traffic in aggregate. We favour privacy-respecting analytics that don’t build advertising profiles of you. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

06 How we protect it

Security is literally our product, so we apply the same care to your data that we apply to your blog: encryption in transit, hardened infrastructure, least-privilege access and daily backups. No system is perfectly immune, but if a breach ever affected your data, we’d tell you promptly and honestly.

07 How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you’re a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and operational needs. When it’s no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

08 Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to stop sending you marketing email. Just email hello@hostmy.blog, we’ll action it, no hoops. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or your local data-protection regulation.

09 Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top and, for anything significant, let you know by email. Continuing to use our service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
