# AI brand entity for WordPress

Your site title says one thing, your tagline says another, and half your pages spell the product with a space where the rest do not. A person resolves that instantly. A retrieval system stores whichever variant it read and treats the others as different things. RankReady holds four brand fields in one place and writes them into every machine readable surface it generates. About five minutes.

v1.3.1 · 300 active installs · Tested to WordPress 7.1 · Runs alongside Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO and SEOPress

## Written once,read everywhere.

Two of them fall back to WordPress values so the surfaces still work if you skip them. The other two have no fallback, because a generic one would be worse than nothing.

![The Brand Identity screen in RankReady, marked single source of truth and Complete, with a site or brand name field reading Host My Blog, a one-line summary field, an About field and a canonical brand terms field, each explaining that it feeds llms.txt and llms-full.txt.](https://hostmy.blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/rr130-brand-identity.png)

### Name

The brand or site name. Falls back to your WordPress site title when empty, so the field is never blank.

### Summary

One line, up to 160 characters. Falls back to your WordPress tagline. This is the line AI engines repeat.

### About

A longer description, up to 500 characters. No fallback. Write it for a machine reading it cold rather than as marketing copy.

### Canonical terms

The names you go by, one per line: full name, short form, domain. The field people skip and the one that does the most work.

## Eight surfaces, one source of truth.

The plugin shows you the list on the screen itself, so there is no guessing about what a change affects.

![The panel in RankReady headed where these 4 fields are used, listing the eight surfaces the Brand Identity fields feed: llms.txt, llms-full.txt, the Brand comment in robots.txt, the AI Summary system prompt, the FAQ generation prompt, the get-site-info and get-brand-terms WebMCP abilities, and homepage Markdown.](https://hostmy.blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/rr130-fields-used.png)

#### llms.txt and llms-full.txt

The name becomes the heading, the summary the blockquote under it, the About text the paragraph below, and the canonical terms a Brand line.

#### robots.txt

The brand names appear as a comment inside the managed block, where anything fetching the file whole will read them.

#### The MCP manifest

As the name and description at the top of /.well-known/mcp.json, and behind the get-site-info and get-brand-terms abilities.

#### The OKF bundle manifest

As the heading and description of the whole knowledge set.

#### The AI Summary prompt

Canonical naming is forced into every generated summary, so the model uses your real name rather than inventing one.

#### The FAQ generation prompt

Brand context goes into the prompt, which is why an FAQ generated on a site with these fields filled in describes your product accurately.

## This does not createan entity anywhere.

It makes your own surfaces internally consistent, which is the part you control. Everything beyond that is earned through external references.

#### No Knowledge Panel, no Wikidata item

Those come from third party data and outside references. No plugin creates them, and anyone selling you one is selling something that does not work.

#### It is not a ranking factor

Consistent naming is hygiene. Hygiene removes a failure mode, which is a system storing two versions of you. It does not produce a position.

#### It does not rewrite your content

Posts that refer to the product inconsistently still do. The fields cover the surfaces RankReady generates, not the prose you wrote.

#### Nothing is verified

You type a name and the plugin uses it. There is no check against your trademark, your Organization schema or your social profiles.

## The honest answers, before you have to ask.

## Make your site readableto the things reading it.

RankReady is a WordPress AI SEO plugin. It runs alongside Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO and SEOPress rather than replacing any of them, and setup takes about five minutes from your dashboard.

## Questions people actually ask

### Will filling this in get me a Knowledge Panel?

No. Knowledge Panels come from external references and third party data, not from anything you declare on your own site.

### Does this replace the organisation settings in Yoast or Rank Math?

No, and it does not conflict with them either. Theirs feed Organization schema. These feed llms.txt, robots.txt, the MCP manifest, the OKF bundle and the generation prompts, none of which the four SEO plugins produce.

### What if I leave the fields empty?

Name falls back to your site title and Summary to your tagline, so the surfaces still work. About and canonical terms have no fallback, and those are the two that add anything.

### How many canonical terms should I list?

The ones people actually use: the full name, the short form, the domain. Padding the list with near misses helps nothing.

### Does the About text appear to human readers?

Not on your pages. It appears in llms.txt, in the OKF manifest and inside generation prompts.

### How long does setup take?

About five minutes for the plugin, and this particular screen is closer to two.
